Our History

Hospice of Northen Colorado

Founded in 1978 as Weld County Hospice, we began as a volunteer establishment serving 18 patients in our first year. In 1995, Hospice of Northern Colorado opened our hospital based in-patient unit (the In-Patient Care Center) at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. Our administrative offices moved to our current location at 2726 West 11th Street Road in Greeley in June 1997. We expanded our service into Morgan County in 2000. We expanded again in 2008 to serve the Loveland community.

Presently, HNC employs 56 individuals and utilizes the resources of nearly 45 volunteers in Northern Colorado. Hospice of Northern Colorado was granted an exemption for federal income tax under section 501 (C) (3) in January of 1980, and certified to accept Medicare benefits in May of 1982.
